Welcome!![]() Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary was formed to aid homeless and abused domestic and farmed animals in the San Francisco Bay Area and the San Joaquin valley. We assist local humane societies and rescue groups with animals-primarily farmed animals-who, due to their breed, their health, or their personality, cannot be adopted into permanent homes. Donate NowHarvest Home currently is spending $1400 per month on direct animal maintenance for our 175 residents, plus we spend an additional $1200 per month on veterinary care. We are trying to raise an additional $1800 per month to put our animal care expenses into the black. Please consider donating to help us with these critical costs. One time donations are gratefully appreciated, and monthly donations will go a very long way towards helping us to better meet our animals' needs. And donating monthly is simple! When you make your first online donation, the system will ask if you'd like it to be a one time, monthly, or quarterly donation. Harvest Home has your fertilizer! Are you searching for an eco-friendly fertilizer for your home garden? Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary can help. Turlock Hen Rescue
In late February 2012, Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary learned about the plight of 50,000 chickens--dead or starving--at A & L Poultry, an egg factory farm near Turlock, California. Within one hour of reading "The Modesto Bee" news report about this breaking animal cruelty case, we were en route to the abandoned farm to offer emergency aid to the farm's grossly neglected hens.
